Dr. Strutchens Named 2008 Distinguished Diversity Researcher

 

Dr. Marilyn Strutchens, a professor in the Department of Curriculum and Teaching and co-director of TEAM-Math, has been recognized for her significant contributions in the area of equity and mathematics education. She was named a 2008 Auburn University Distinguished Diversity Researcher. Dr. Strutchens will give a lecture on her research at the celebration of diversity research, "Understanding Differences that Matter: Diversity Research at Auburn University," October 30-31, 2008, at The Auburn University Hotel and Dixon Conference Center.  Dr. Strutchens is also offering a special course on diversity and equity in mathematics education Fall Semester 2008. Learn about Equity Issues in Mathematics Education from one of the nation's leading scholars on the topic! It can be taken as a three-hour graduate course or a one-hour audit.
